Dr Greg Barton BDSc, FRACDS

Dr Greg Barton graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1990 with a Batchelor of Dental Science (BDSc), and obtained his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) in 2000. He worked as a Dental Officer in the RAAF for six years, and joined the Melbourne Dental Group in 1998. He became an associate of the practice in 2001.

Dr Barton has over twenty five years experience in general and advanced dental care. He is proficient in all aspects of dentistry including restorative, preventative, endodontics, crown and bridge, implants, childrens and cosmetic dentistry. He keeps himself well informed of the latest advances in these areas by regularly attending postgraduate seminars and conferences.

Dr Barton is a Member of the Australian Dental Association, a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, a Member of the Endodontic Society of Victoria, and is registered as a dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Whilst clinical practice remains Dr Barton’s priority, he has also been active within the dental professional community. He has contributed to the undergraduate program for dental students at the University of Melbourne, spending time as a part time clinical demonstrator and lecturing on occasions. He has served as a Committee Member on the Victorian Regional Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, and the Endodontic Society of Victoria. On both these committees he was elected President for a number of years. Presently, he is serving on the Australian Dental Association Defence Advisory Committee.

In his spare time, Dr Barton enjoys holidaying with his wife Jane and three young children. He also enjoys bike riding, swimming, and following the fortunes of his favourite football and cricket sides.
