Porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin, tooth coloured porcelain shells that are bonded to the front of your existing teeth. Porcelain veneers are excellent for transforming uneven, discoloured and crooked teeth into perfectly shaped and natural smiles. They are highly durable and are able to recreate the lustre, translucency and shade of natural teeth, which will then last for many years. Porcelain veneers are a more conservative treatment than a crown and can often be utilised if the underlying tooth is strong and healthy.

Porcelain veneers require two appointments. We begin by preparing each tooth by removing a tiny amount of enamel from your tooth surface. We then take an impression of your teeth, from which the Dental Laboratory will create your custom-made porcelain veneers in about two weeks. The Melbourne Dental Group will work closely with the Dental Laboratory to create the perfect shape and colour of your veneers. Once you are happy with your new look, your veneers will be permanently bonded to your existing teeth.
